Line relaxing injections

Botox is a formulation of botulinium toxin type A derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinium. The active ingredient in Botox is a protein that blocks release of acetylcholine and relaxes muscles. When facial muscles are relaxed the skin above them tends to smooth out, giving you a less lined appearance.

What is it used for?
Botox used in cosmetic practice is typically injected into the facial area. These injections relax the underlying muscles, preventing the action of muscle contraction. This includes treatment of the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows), the forehead and around the eyes.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are a clear, smooth gel made out of hyaluronic acid – a natural substance that adds volume and hydration to your skin. These wrinkle fillers are tiny painless injections that remove the lines and wrinkles on the face.

The best results are for the lines from the nose to mouth, the lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin, for cheek enhancement, lips and chin. They are ideal for anyone that wants to look younger and fresher without the need for surgery. Although used primarily in the lower half of the face in areas such as nose-to-mouth lines it is quite a common practice for Dawn to use the "fillers" on hands and the décolleté.

Thread Veins (Sclerotherapy)

What are thread veins?
Thread veins are unsightly reddish or purple dilated vessels just under the skin. Their underlying cause is a mystery, but it is likely that their cause is genetic and they are often seen in people who spend a lot of time on their feet.

Why treat thread veins?
Thread veins on the legs are very common and sadly this can cause significant cosmetic embarrassment. Other people may have broken veins on their face or neck and use make up to cover them. Treating the veins will eliminate their appearance and most clients notice changes in their appearance of the veins just a few weeks after treatment.

How many sessions will I need?
After the first treatment, most clients will need one or two more treatments. Dawn recommends leaving 6 – 8 weeks between treatments.

Will it hurt?
The needles used in this procedure are extremely fine, therefore discomfort is minimal.

What will be the cost?

  • The cost is from £80 to £200

Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

What is hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is a common disorder and is the medical term for frequent or excessive sweating. Excessive sweating is most common on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and underarms.

Hyperhidrosis and Botox
Botox has been used to successfully reduce the excessive sweating in all areas of the body affected.

The treatment takes around 20 minutes and involves and multiple small injections just under the skin. The injections are relatively painless and are described as feeling like a small sting. Botox injections are not permanent but the treatment should last up to six months depending on the extent of each clients problem.
